Fox oral vaccination against rabies by helicopter baits dropping
Since 1988, A.F.S.S.A. (French Food Safety Agency) and PROTEUS HÉLICOPTÈRES have been working together in the fight against rabies by helicopter dropping of vaccinal baits.
30 campaigns over 15 years,
more than 1 522 000 km² treated,
more than 16 280 hours of flight.
PROTEUS HÉLICOPTÈRES specially designed a bait dropping system for the exclusive use of the A.F.S.S.A. This system was approved by an independent certification body (Bureau Veritas).
The combined action of A.F.S.S.A. office of Nancy, Entente Rage et Zoonoses (body in charge of the control of animal diseases communicable to man) and PROTEUS HÉLICOPTÈRES was highly successful since France is recognised as a “disease-free” country by the OIE (the World organization for animal health) in 2001.
Since 2001, we have realized preventive actions campaigns.
