The developing new technologies over the last 20 years has democratized the access to this type of flight with rotor wings.
The future of the helicopter is linked to operations under bad meteorological conditions, alike the plane. Proteus Hélicoptères works to implement this technology in a sector where emergency and the achievement of the flight have a high importance : the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service.

DGPS

Today, the use of the Differential GPS (DGPS) allows to dispose of metric, centimetric and even milimetric accuracy.
With this system, instrument approaches out of equipped airports can be considered.
In several countries (e.g. USA), DGPS systems allow to highly reduce minima on heliports (COPTER ILS) to 100 ft ceiling and 500 m visibility.

JVN

Most of our pilots have a high experience of flight with Night Vision Goggles. This military technology allows night flight with better visibility (with adapted equipment on the helicopter). Our pilots are regularly trained to this type of technology.
